Gisele Pelicot: France: Rape culture on trial in Pelicot case:

Pamela Brown of SOS with Pam Brown on Substack wrote the essay I share in late October, 2024. I absorbed it like a sponge and resonated with it as it hits all of the flavor centers of my podcast and way of thinking. I hope you will enjoy it as much as I did.
Gisele Pelicot has done something profound in her fight for justice against those who abused her. She is like a 30-ton weight suspended from the tip of that arc of justice and she is bending it toward justice for all of us. What happened to her could very well have been hidden by the protective norms of France’s justice system. But somehow, she found a way to fight that makes a hideous mockery of normalizing such an act, by anyone, much less by a gang.
Sacrifice Zones airs Sundays at 11am, Mondays at 2pm, and Tuesdays at 8am on Forward Radio, WFMP-LP Louisville, 106.5fm and https://forwardradio.org, and is in the public domain.
